Innovation
A number of teaching innovations like Group Discussion on Budget, Debate on the status of Fungus,Quiz on History , Mock-Parliament Session has been made to enhance the involvement of students in the learning process.

Incentive
The advanced students are challenged to work ahead in a number of ways:
i) They can borrow more books from the library.
ii) They are encourged to take special classes for junior students.
iii) They are encouraged to sum up a lecture after the discussion made by
the teacher.
iv) They are encouraged to monitor Group Discussions and also to
conduct departmental Quiz competitions.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

The students have to undergo quarterly tests based on the performance of which they are allowed to attend university exams. Every subject has internal assessment marks. This gives the students a great deal of initiative and self-confidence and also helps them in deriving the maximum advantage depending on their expertise in the subjects. The college has introduced a system of collecting student - evaluation on campus experience through an Exit Questionnaire.The feedback is regularly used for improvement.
The college has introduced a method of appraisal of the teachers' performance by students.
The students are encouraged to give their opinion candidly and impartially as the pro-forma is used as a feedback for improvement. The carefully analyzes the rating on every point and informs the teacher(s)l of the areas where they excel and where there is scope for improvement.
The students are exposed to various seminars conducted by visiting professors to keep abreast of the latest technology and scientific knowledge. Moreover, the experiences shared by distinguished visiting faculty from the corporate arena help amalgamate theory and real world practices. The College regularly holds stimulating seminars and workshops relevant to the students and the faculty alike. Among the recently held ones are:

RESEARCH
There is provision for Post-graduate Research leading to Ph.D. degree. One full-time research scholar (UGC JRF NET) has been prosecuting her research studies in the Department of English, under the guidance of the Principal. Some other full-time teachers are working on UGC Projects as part-time Research Fellow and as Research Guides.

Remedial Class

Theoretical and Practical classes are conducted in accordance with the university norms and more attention is paid to the backward among them. Apart from regular classes, special assistance is provided to students who are weak in studies.
