In order to approximate its vision of development the college has split its Vision/Mission into smaller not -too-remote goals and objectives. The college has been working towards these goals so that by achieving them the college can automatically fulfil its mission.
The key features of this goal-dynamics are:

Prioritising the interest of the students
Appraisal of teachers by students
Taking student feedback on campus experience through Exit Questionnaire
Initiative for introduction of new courses
Community orientation of the learners
Outsourcing.

Values

MUC Women’s College feels that while higher education should be liberal and dynamic in sprit where students should have the scope to taste and experiment with the novel and the unorthodox, it should have its moorings in those principles and ideas which have sustained the Indian heritage for centuries and which account for its undiminished charm. The values that the college tries to inculcate in the minds of its learners are:

· Tolerance and peaceful coexistence
· Regard for the elderly
· Respect for Indian culture
· Courtesy towards and consideration for women
· Adoring nature for what we owe to her
· Live and let live
· Life is charming despite its thorns
· Virtue of honesty, integrity and cleanliness
· Respect for order, discipline, punctuality
· Concern for the disabled and the disadvantaged

CIVIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The college inculcates civic responsibilities among the students in a number of ways :

  • Ensuring their participation in Students' Union Election
  • Incorporating some concepts of civic responsibility like conservation of energy
  • In-campus postering on the do's & don'ts of civic life
  • Motivating NSS volunteers to participate in Civic- Responsibility- Promotion programmes like garbage clearance, traffic control etc.
  • Inspiring students to raise funds and to volunteer for relief service in times of natural calamities
  • Collecting funds in exchange of printed Army Flag as part of observance of the Flag Day
  • Developing through Excursion the Group Habit of sharing others' strains

Community Orientation

Every college is, after all, a social institution. So if it is bogged merely in knowledge- dissemination without considering its social relevance or if the college turns its back upon the community which feeds and nourishes it, it will imperil its very existence. M.U. C. Women's College, therefore, has been endeavouring to be community oriented in its activities.
The NSS team of the college works for comprehensive social uplift through Survey, Afforestation, Traffic Control, Campus Cleaning to name a few. Blood Donation camps organised from time to time in the college are also directed towards community welfare, especially the welfare of the thalassemia patients . The participation of the college students in AIDS Awareness Programmes strengthens the social campign against the HIV menace. Through class lectures and project works the students of the college are inspired to understand the environment and threats to it so that they may play active role in making it more habitable for the future generations.

Some other extension activities regularly promoted in the college are :

  • eradication of illiteracy
  • creating awareness among people about the abuse of pesticides in agriculture and abuse of medicine in treatment
  • conservation of bio-diversity for sustainable growth
  • campaigning for the needs for rain water harvesting
